Kentucky Offers 2027 Top-10 Center Obinna Ekezie Jr.
Kentucky is starting to send out offers in the 2027 class this week. First, it was No. 2-ranked Baba Oladotun. Now, they’ve extended an offer to the No. 1-ranked center in the class.
Obinna Ekezie Jr., a 6-foot-11, 215-pound center from Prolific Prep (Napa, CA) has received an offer from Kentucky, he tells KSR+. Kentucky head coach Mark Pope and assistant Jason Hart visited him at his school on Wednesday.

“If you’re in Kentucky, everybody knows about Kentucky basketball,” Ekezie told KSR+ in early August. “It’s one of the greatest college basketball programs in the country.”
Kentucky’s Early 2027 Big Board
Kentucky is starting to take an early look at prospects in the 2027 class. KSR+ has started tracking each of the players UK has inquired about:
- Ryan Hampton: 6-foot-5 guard from Rockwall-Heat (Rockwall, TX) – No. 1 overall
- Baba Oladotun: 6-foot-8 forward from James Hubert Blake (Silver Spring, MD) – No. 2 overall
- Obinna Ekezie: 6-foot-11 center from Prolific Prep (Napa, CA) – No. 9 overall
- Christopher Brown: 6-foot-10 center from Dream City Christian (Glendale, AZ) – No. 35 overall
