Kentucky offers fresh Cincinnati commit, 3-star WR Ty Perkins
The Kentucky and Cincinnati football programs will be battling over top local recruits for the foreseeable future. The latest is wide receiver Ty Perkins, who committed to the Bearcats just last week on Tuesday, June 7.
Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow extended an offer to Perkins, which the latter announced through social media on Monday morning. Clocking in at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, the Ironton (OH) product is one of several Divison I prospects at the school right now. Perkins chose UC over Wisconsin, Northwestern, Illinois, and Wake Forest, among others. He received an offer from the Bearcats following a camp visit this month and committed a few days later.

Led by Coach Marrow, UK has been a constant presence at Ironton over the last year, already adding a walk-on to the upcoming roster in 6-foot-3 LB Angelo Washington. The Ohio high school is producing multiple Divison I players, including three-star RB Jaquez Keyes, who committed to Wisconsin in May.
On June 2, Perkins posted a schedule of his summer camp visits for the month. On it, he indicated that he would be in Lexington today (Monday, June 13) for the Wildcat One Day camp. He also noted that those camps could be subject to change. It is not known whether or not Perkins is on UK’s campus right now.
