The 2026 high school recruiting cycle is starting to heat up. Coaches are on the road meeting with prospects and junior day unofficial visits are being scheduled. Kentucky is still searching for its first commit in this class but that occur quickly.

Some quarterback targets are beginning to emerge.

Kentucky hosted Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller star Matt Ponatoski for a camp visit last summer before he won Mr. Football and led the Crusaders to a state title. Offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan and tight ends coach Vince Marrow recently issued Ponatoski a scholarship. Now another four-star recruit is on the radar.

Jackson (Ala.) High standout Landon Duckworth received an offer from Kentucky on Thursday.

Landon Duckworth is the No. 130 overall prospect in On3’s 2026 Industry Ranking. The 6-foot-3 and 190-pound quarterback is the No. 8 overall prospect in Alabama. Duckworth led his team to the Alabama 4A state title as a junior. The 2026 recruit threw for 3,109 yards, rushed for 631 yards, and accumulated 46 total touchdowns in in 14 games.

The latest Kentucky target is a former South Carolina decommit who has received offers from Georgia and Missouri in January. Now the Wildcats will push to get the top-150 prospect on campus for an unofficial visit.
