Kentucky WBB offers 4-star forward Mimi Thiero, sister of former Cat Adou Thiero

Kentucky recently offered 2026 four-star Mimi Thiero, and yes, what you’re thinking right now based on her last name is true.
She’s the sister of former Wildcat Adou Thiero, who is now bound for the NBA after following John Calipari to Arkansas. Mimi took an unofficial visit to Kentucky during the 2023-24 season when Kyra Elzy still ran the show (and when her brother was still in Lexington too).
The 6-foot-4 forward has been one of the biggest stock-risers in the 2026 class. She quickly went from being a bit an unknown prospect in the state of Pennsylvania to being one of the more underrated players in the country. Similarly to Adou, she has a level of athleticism that makes her one of a kind.

Following her rise as a star recruit, she’s received offers from the likes of Maryland, NC State, North Carolina, Pitt, Clemson, Miami and several others.
It’s evident that Kenny Brooks likes versatile or “position-less” athletes on his teams. So, going after someone like Thiero makes plenty of sense. Plus, it would be cool to have another Thiero back in the blue and white.
