Kentucky OL commit Tucker Kattus announces flip to Clemson
And so it begins… Less than 24 hours after Kentucky’s season finale loss to Louisville wrapped up, the Wildcats have lost a 2025 commit.
On Sunday afternoon, Tucker Kattus announced his flip from Kentucky to Clemson. A three-star interior offensive lineman, Kattus is the younger brother of Kentucky junior tight end Josh Kattus. A third Kattus brother, Justin, was a freshman this past season, as well. Tucker had been committed to the Wildcats since March, but he now plans to join Dabo Swinney at Clemson.
Kattus, who plays for St. Xavier in Cincinnati, OH, is ranked as the No. 1,310 overall high school prospect from the class of 2025. With his decommitment, Kentucky now has 20 commits locked in for the current cycle, four of them on the offensive line.

Kentucky was the first school to offer Tucker Kattus, with Vince Marrow extending him a scholarship all the way back in June 2021. It would be over a year until another Division I team — Miami (OH) — reached out to him with an offer. Since then, Kattus has earned scholarships from the likes of Michigan, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Louisville, Missouri, and many more. He never publicly announced an offer from Clemson though; this flip essentially came out of nowhere.
Losing Tucker before he could even arrive in Lexington has to make you wonder about the status of Josh and whether or not he’ll return for a senior season in 2025 or elect to hit the transfer portal. Josh finished the 2024 season with a career-low six receptions for 77 yards and three touchdowns (two receiving, one rushing).
