It had been nine days since a Kentucky football player announced he was leaving the program to enter the transfer portal. The deck is being reshuffled after the Cats added a few free agents to the offensive line.

Dylan Ray revealed on social media Wednesday afternoon that he intends to enter the transfer portal. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

“I want to thank the University of Kentucky and the coaching staff for helping me get to where I am today and for the opportunities they have provided me,” he said. “BBN, thank you for all of your support and making Lexington a home away from home.”

The announcement comes after Kentucky added its fourth transfer portal offensive lineman this week. Former Arkansas Razorback Josh Braun appears poised to take the snaps Ray previously logged at offensive guard.

Ray played in all 12 games and started two for Kentucky at left guard in 2024. According to PFF, he logged 411 snaps, had a grade of 57.3, allowed three sacks, and committed five penalties. Ray was relied on much more in 2023 when the West Virginia transfer from Noblesville, IN started in 10 games at left guard.
