Ole Miss has not had much luck on the hardwood against Kentucky. The Rebels are hoping that will change under new head coach Chris Beard. There is a long losing history that must get turned around.
On Tuesday, the Wildcats and Rebels will meet for the 125th time at Rupp Arena. Kentucky owns a dominant 110-14 series lead. John Calipari is 14-2 against Ole Miss since arriving in Lexington with both losses coming in Oxford. The Big Blue has a huge advantage in Rupp Arena.
In the second all-time meeting in this series, Ole Miss defeated Kentucky in 1927. The Rebels then went seven decades without winning in Lexington until No. 18 Ole Miss knocked off No. 7 Kentucky in 1998. However, another long winning streak for the Cats started immediately after that.
Kentucky has won 13 consecutive games against Ole Miss at Rupp Arena. The Wildcats desperately need that streak to extend to 14.

For the first time in Rupp Arena history, Kentucky has lost three consecutive home games. Over the last two weeks, we have seen Florida, Tennessee, and Gonzaga leave downtown Lexington with a win. Two of those teams were unranked. Calipari’s group is reeling. To stop the reeling, Kentucky must start winning at home again.
Throughout history, Kentucky has dominated the series with Ole Miss and has pretty much been unbeatable at home. That needs to remain the case with Chris Beard on the sidelines in 2024.
