Kentucky goes on the road to Athens this weekend to try to stake their claim as the best team in college football against the top-ranked Dawgs. Clearly, it’s far from an easy task and that’s even more evident with Vegas listing Kentucky as 22-point underdogs to Georgia. The over/under is set at 44.5 for a game receiving the College GameDay and SEC Nation treatment.

This season Kentucky is an impressive 5-1 ATS in their 6-0 campaign, with the only game the ‘Cats didn’t cover being against UT-Chattanooga in week three. The over has hit in four of Kentucky’s games this season.

Georgia on the other side also has an impressive 5-1 record ATS. The only game they failed to cover was against South Carolina. ESPN’s Football Power Index gives Georgia a 95.4 percent chance to beat UK.

Kentucky is 4-6 ATS against Georgia in their last 10 meetings, but the ‘Cats haven’t beat Georgia since Randall Cobb ran wild all over them in Athens over a decade ago. Some of you may remember the monsoon that ran through Athens in 2019 that allowed the under to hit by plenty.

This is a tough game to pick, two stingy defenses and two teams who love to run the ball make me think 22 points might be a bit too hefty, but Georgia has looked like world-beaters all season long so it’s anyone’s guess.

Whatever you do, bet responsibly.
