With so many questions to ask and answer at SEC Media Days, the conversations often go off track from the usual football talk about summer workouts and fall expectations. For Kentucky QB Will Levis, he found himself talking about golf during his Wednesday appearance at SEC Media Days, likely because he recently signed an NIL deal with Boone’s Trace National Golf Club.

During an interview on the SEC Network, Peter Burns asked Levis to name his dream golf foursome on the course. Levis’ dream group included a fictional movie character and a couple of GOATs:

Happy Gilmore – “I want Adam Sandler in character. I want Happy. I want the full Happy.”

Tiger Woods – “I have to go with Tiger.”

Tom Brady – “Tom’s always been my guy, coming from New England and rooting for him, going to his championship parades growing up.”

Best golfer on the team

Through Levis’ partnership with Boone’s Trace National Golf Club, he and thirteen of his Kentucky Football teammates play a weekly nine-hole round. Levis told Peter Burns he finishes around fourth on the leaderboard each week as a low-90s golfer, just to give you a little indication of the skill level on the LEV Tour.

“A lot of hacks out there, for sure,” Levis said.

The best golfer on the team?

“Colin Goodfellow, our punter,” Levis quickly replied when Burns asked. “But he’s a specialist, so I mean, that doesn’t count.”

Not short of confidence, Levis said he believes he can become a scratch golfer in the next couple of years.
