Kentucky ranked No. 23 in latest AP Poll
Well, it’s officially poll season now. This week’s AP poll has just been released, and your Kentucky Wildcats came in at No. 23. That’s slightly lower than the also recently-released Coaches poll, which lists the Cats at No. 20.
Like the Coaches poll, this week’s AP poll only includes teams that have opted to play this fall. That means no Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, or any other team from the Big Ten or Pac-12 conferences.
The differences between Sunday’s polls indicate mostly small changes in the top-half of the rankings, such as swapping Florida and LSU, Auburn and Texas, Oklahoma State and North Carolina, and Cincinnati and Central Florida. The back-half of the list sees a little more variation, and the AP poll includes Pittsburgh rather than the Coaches poll’s pick, Baylor.
