Kentucky reaches out to St. John's transfer Jaiden Glover

Kentucky continues to cast a wide net on potential options to close out the 2025-26 roster, the latest possibility being a former four-star recruit in the 2024 class.
Jaiden Glover, ranked No. 47 overall and No. 13 among small forwards, wrapped up his freshman campaign at St. John’s averaging 2.2 points in 6.4 minutes per contest under Rick Pitino. With just five games of double-digit playing time before suffering a season-ending wrist injury, the 6-4 guard out of Brooklyn decided to enter the transfer portal after just one season with the Red Storm.
Since exploring his options, Glover has heard from Kentucky, Gonzaga, Virginia Tech, NC State, Creighton, UAB, Temple, St. Joe’s, St. Bonaventure, LaSalle and UMass, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Out of high school, the four-star guard originally committed to St. John’s over Creighton, Seton Hall and St. Joe’s while also receiving offers from Illinois, Villanova, Ohio State and Providence, among others.
When he first began his career in New York City, Pitino made it clear it’d be a development year for Glover, comparing his situation to some of his all-time guards at Louisville.

“This is a year to learn the game, no different than Donovan Mitchell or Terry Rozier,” he said. “This is your year to learn the game.”
Now, he’s exploring the open market, using that development elsewhere with Kentucky seen as a potential destination.
It’s not the go-to shooting star the Wildcats are looking for to replace Koby Brea — not yet, anyway. He’d likely get more run in Lexington than he got as a freshman, but the upside would undoubtedly outweigh the current production if Pope were to move forward with this addition. The physical tools are there and he shoots it better than his 10-30 mark from deep (30.0 3PT%) suggests, but will he be ready to show it all and make the jump, especially after tearing tendons in his wrist in late February? It’s at least worth the conversation, clearly.
On3’s Jamie Shaw’s Scouting Report
“Jaiden Glover has a great frame. He is naturally strong, with long arms, and some projectability for continued growth in a college weight program. He is a good shooter, that is what his offensive game plays off of. Standing in the 6-foot-5 range, Glover is comfortable off the catch and off the bounce. He gets his feet set and shoots with good balance. At times, the release can be a little slow, would like to to him continue to speed that up as he continues forward. Glover is a good athlete in transition, finishing above the rim, and he attacks the basket in straight lines. Would like to see him continue to develop the handle in the half court, use his wiggle to add some counters if his path is cut off. Glover had the measurables and demeanor to be a good defender, quick enough to guard on the ball and the instincts and length to guard off ball. All in all, Glover’s best basketball should be ahead of him. There are a lot of natural tools that project forward and a track record of consistent growth.”
