Kentucky receives commitment from Andrija Jelavic

Head on a swivel, Big Blue Nation. Mark Pope and his Kentucky basketball staff are roster-building and anything can happen at any time. We received a big surprise on Saturday afternoon just as fireworks started at the Masters. A Cody Fueger boom tweet (or X post) was followed shortly by more commitment news.
Have you heard of Andrija Jelavic? Well, it’s time to learn some more about him. The Croatian native is now a Cat.
The 6-foot-11 big played for KK Mega Basket club in Serbia the last two seasons. The European native averaged double-figures both years and saw his shooting numbers take a leap from year one to year two. Andrija Jelavic will give Pope a 21-year-old first-year player with a shooting stroke and the ability to initiate offense as a passer.
Kentucky has added another frontcourt piece.
