Kentucky offensive coordinator Liam Coen and running backs coach Jemal Singleton saw their new contracts finalized with the school this week.

As first discovered by Derek Terry of The Cats Pause, both Coen and Singleton signed two-year deals with the school that will run through the 2022 season, with the contracts being finalized by the president’s office on Jan. 29.

Coen, a former assistant with the Los Angeles Rams, is set to earn $750,000 in 2021, followed by $775,000 in 2022. As for Singleton, who came to Lexington after five consecutive seasons as a running backs coach in the NFL, he is set to earn $500,000 in both 2021 and 2022.

On top of the flat salaries, both coaches will earn bonuses with six-plus wins in a season (one month salary), Kentucky reaching the SEC Championship (1.5 months’ salary), or if UK earns a spot in the College Football Playoff (two months’ salary).

Should Coen terminate his agreement and accept any other coaching position during the contract period, he will be forced to pay the school $150,000 per year prorated for the remaining term of the agreement. As for Singleton, he would owe the school $100,000.

With both contracts finalized, all ten of Kentucky’s full-time assistants are now on the books for the 2021 season and beyond.
