Kentucky reportedly contacts Florida OL Jalen Farmer, Oregon WR Ashton Cozart
The transfer portal continues to heat up this week. Two more options have popped up on Kentucky football’s radar.
According to The Portal Report, Florida offensive lineman Jalen Farmer has heard from the Wildcats after he entered his name into the portal on Tuesday. Additionally, according to Mike Roach of 247Sports, Oregon wide receiver Ashton Cozart, who put his name into the portal on Tuesday as well, is also being contacted by Kentucky’s staff.
Farmer is a former three-star prospect who was recruited to Kentucky out of high school but wound up with the Gators. He redshirted his freshman season in 2022 before appearing in just two games as a redshirt freshman in 2023. Farmer, who is also reportedly hearing from Oklahoma and Texas A&M, will have three years of eligibility remaining.
As for Cozart, the former four-star prospect did not play for the Ducks as a freshman in 2023 and thus redshirted the season. He will have four years of college eligibility left. 247Sports reports that Cozart is also hearing from SMU, Texas A&M, and Utah.

Out of Covington (GA) Eastside High School, Farmer was rated as the No. 638 overall recruit in the 2022 class by the On3 Industry Ranking. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound lineman received an offer from former Kentucky offensive line coach Eric Wolford back in Oct. 2021 (after he was already committed to Florida) and even took an official visit to Lexington soon after. But once Wolford took the offensive line coaching job at Alabama, the Wildcats’ chances at flipping Farmer diminished.
Cozart is more of an unknown target. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Seattle native eventually made his way to Texas where he suited up for Flower Mound (TX) Marcus High School. Kentucky did not extend a scholarship before Cozart ultimately landed with Oregon, but he did hold offers from the likes of Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, and many more. Cozart was considered the No. 215 overall class of 2023 prospect by the On3 Industry Ranking.
