Another Kentucky portal target has popped on the radar.

According to Dushawn London of 247Sports, the Wildcats have “met with or conducted zooms” with San Francisco transfer guard Tyrone Riley IV. The 6-foot-6, 180-pound freshman averaged 9.6 points, six rebounds, 1.2 steals, and one assist in 28.2 minutes per game during his rookie campaign in 2024-25. He started all 34 games for the Dons played while shooting 50.2 percent from the field, 32.2 percent from deep (2.6 attempts per outing), and 73.5 percent from the free throw line.

Riley was tabbed to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team as a result. He will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next stop. The likes of Southern California, Arizona, Creighton, Texas, Washington, Arkansas, and Grand Canyon have also recently met with Riley.

Riley was considered a three-star recruit out of St. Pius X-St. Matthias (CA). On3 ranked him as the 124th-best prospect from the class of 2024, choosing to play for San Francisco over offers from the likes of Texas A&M, LSU, Florida, Southern California, Xavier, and others. His father, Tyrone Riley Sr., played his college basketball at San Francisco from 2003-05.

During his freshman season, Riley posted a career-high 28 points against Chicago State in November. He reached double figures 16 times and even recorded a couple of double-doubles. Now in the portal, Riley is considered the 53rd-best transfer prospect with plenty of two-way potential.
