The Kentucky men’s basketball staff has offered another top-ranked prospect.

According to Shun Williams of On the Radar Hoops, Kentucky has offered five-star power forward Airious “Ace” Bailey. Head coach John Calipari, along with two assistants, traveled to Powder Springs (GA) McEachern High on Tuesday to watch the 6-foot-9 high school junior.

Bailey is considered the No. 7 overall prospect from the class of 2024, according to the On3 Consensus. Including Bailey, eight players from the ’24 class reportedly hold offers from the Wildcats.

The Kentucky staff has been keeping an eye on Bailey throughout the summer. He was one of the many prospects to hear from UK once the summer contact period opened up in June.

Coming into the week (with the fall recruiting period now open), Bailey expected to receive visits from coaches at the following schools: Kentucky, Auburn, Kansas, Alabama, Appalachian State, West Virginia, Georgia, Illinois, Cincinnati, South Carolina, LSU, Arkansas, and Indiana, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

“I’ll be looking at how I bond with the team, the coaches,” Bailey told Tipton on Monday. “I will be looking at the location, how my parents will fit in the area. I want to see how the team communicates with my family and me throughout the process.”

Two SEC programs, the Auburn Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers, have been heavily recruiting Bailey, offering him last month. Now, Kentucky is getting in on the action.
