Kentucky Reserve Defensive Lineman Enters the Transfer Portal

On the first day of the spring window, the list of players to enter the transfer portal is growing. Another Kentucky Wildcat is hitting free agency.
On3’s Pete Nakos reports Dennious Jackson will enter the transfer portal. He should have two years of eligibility remaining.
A 6-foot-5, 338-pound nose guard, Jackson is an Augusta, Ga. native who started his career in the junior college ranks. Kentucky sought out his services last spring after the defensive line suffered multiple injuries in practice. He did not log a snap during his one season at Kentucky.
Depth is not a serious concern for Kentucky at nose guard. Josaih Hayes is ready to return for one more season after suffering an Achilles injury last spring. David Gusta was a high-profile transfer portal addition who can bring some explosiveness to the position. True freshman Kalen Edwards arrived on campus in January and flashed in goal line situations during the spring showcase, solidifying a spot as NG3.
