Amidst all of the successes our current and former Wildcats are experiencing on the national stage, from the Olympic Trials to nationally recognized award-winners, three Kentucky rifle team members had a strong showing at the USA Shooting National Championships.
Rifle ‘Cats Braden Peiser, Liz Probst, and Brandon Evans had top-20 finishes in every event they participated in.
Peiser, who just wrapped up his freshman year at Kentucky, finished in the top five for every event he competed in, including a fourth place finish in the 10m men’s air rifle. He also secured another fourth place overall finish in the 50m men’s three position, and second among juniors.
Probst is an incoming freshman this fall, and her performance at the USA Shooting Nationals is sure to set a solid foundation for a successful career at UK. She finished 16th overall in 10m women’s air rifle championship, 11th overall junior. She also secured a seventh place finish in the 50m women’s three position, and fourth place among juniors.
