Given Kentucky’s dominating win over LSU and other developments in college football, there’s a very good chance the Cats will be in the top ten when the rankings come out Sunday afternoon. Kentucky is already in the top ten of one poll. Chip Patterson bumped the Cats up to No. 8 in CBS Sports’ updated Top 25.

8. Kentucky (16): We don’t have to wait too long to see how close Kentucky is to challenging Georgia in the SEC East because the two teams will meet next week in Athens, both still undefeated, with first place in the division on the line.

Georgia is No. 1 in CBS Sports’ rankings. Alabama, which lost to Texas A&M tonight, fell from No. 1 to No. 7, just one spot ahead of the Cats. Surreal.
