Kentucky Rocking a Popular Road Uniform at Mississippi State

One of the Big Blue Nation’s favorite looks will be on display Saturday when the Kentucky Wildcats travel to Davis Wade Stadium to take on Mississippi State.

Friday afternoon the University of Kentucky shared this week’s uniform selection. The Kentucky road white jerseys will be complemented by white helmets and white pants.

It’s the second time Kentucky has worn this uniform combination in 2023. The Wildcats lost to Georgia 51-13 to kick off the current three-game losing streak. Max Hairston is modeling the all-white uniforms. He has three interceptions in white jerseys and white pants this season, returning two for touchdowns at Vanderbilt. Kentucky is 11-14 under Mark Stoops when wearing all-white uniforms.

Mississippi State Wearing Special Uniform vs. Kentucky

Many people are asking, “Is Kentucky everybody’s Super Bowl?” That is because Mississippi State is busting out a special uniform for Saturday night’s game at Davis Wade Stadium.

Mississippi State is honoring its 1998 football team 25 years after the Bulldogs appeared in their only SEC Championship Game. Former head coach Jackie Sherrill is expected to be in attendance with dozens of other former players.

The Bulldogs are commemorating the occasion by wearing a uniform that’s styled after the ’98 team’s look. In an amusing twist of fate, Kentucky actually beat Mississippi State in 1998. Tim Couch led the Cats to a 37-35 victory in Lexington, one of only three regular season losses for the Bulldogs.
