There are no more Kentucky football season tickets left. For the first time since at least 2009, the Wildcats have sold out of season tickets.

The University of Kentucky has sold over 40,000 season tickets and over 6,000 students have purchased tickets. The packed houses will create some great environments at Kroger Field this fall. Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops took time at his press conference on Saturday to thank the Big Blue Nation for its commitment to this football team.

“Means an awful lot. I greatly appreciate the support. We always do. It affects the game. It affects recruiting,” Stoops said. “The atmosphere when this place is full tilt it’s a blast to play in. Our players really feed off that. We’ve always had great support, and we continue to get that, and we thank you.”

Home contests against Florida (Sept. 30), Tennessee (Oct. 28), and Alabama (Nov. 11) are now all officially sold out. Single-game purchases can be made for games against Ball State (Sept. 2), Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 9), Akron (Sept. 16), and Missouri (Oct. 14). Fewer than 1,500 single-game tickets remain for UK’s homecoming game against Missouri. Limited tickets remain for the first three home contests.

“We’re very excited and thankful to the fans for their great response in anticipation of the upcoming season!” Kentucky Director of Athletics Mitch Barnhart said in a release.  “Coach Stoops and the team love the support they get from the Big Blue Nation and we’ve all seen what a difference it can make on game day.  I can’t wait to see everyone at Kroger Field this fall!”

Football time in the Bluegrass is quickly approaching. The fans have committed to this team. Expect some charged-up environments at some SEC home games at Kroger Field this season. Some of the night kickoffs could be electric.

Fans are encouraged to utilize the UK Athletics Official Marketplace powered by Ticketmaster to take advantage of any tickets that become available.
