SEC Tournament Picture: No one has more possible seeding outcomes than Kentucky

Wednesday night delivered some fireworks across the Southeastern Conference. Some might even call it Upset City. Each underdog in the three games won outright with Florida pulling off a big road win against Alabama. That victory clinches the No. 2 seed in the SEC Tournament for the Gators and might be enough to lock them into a No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament.
How did these results affect Kentucky’s seed? We’re diving into the final scenarios right now. Spots 5-8 are still alive for the Cats. UK will not begin the tournament until Thursday in Nashville.

- Texas A&M loses to LSU
- Ole Miss loses to Florida

- Three-way tie for the No. 6 spot between Kentucky, Missouri, and Ole Miss at 10-8

- Kentucky would win the tiebreaker over Missouri due to the head-to-head win

Auburn, Florida, LSU, and South Carolina have all clinched spots
Auburn locked up a regular-season SEC title in the win over Kentucky last weekend. Despite a loss to Texas A&M on Tuesday, the Tigers will open up the tournament as the No. 1 seed. Florida clinched the No. 2 seed with a victory over Alabama on Wednesday. The Gators are a game up on the Crimson Tide and two games up on Tennessee with one game to play. Texas would own all tiebreakers due to better wins (Texas A&M, Kentucky) than Oklahoma but cannot climb above Arkansas or Georgia. The Horns (No. 13) and Sooners (No. 14) are locked in. Oklahoma’s win over Missouri locked up the No. 15 seed for LSU. South Carolina locked in the No. 16 seed with their loss to Georgia on Tuesday.
