Spring is an especially colorful time to visit the Capitol.
The coronavirus pandemic could delay elections in the state of Kentucky. Monday afternoon Secretary of State Michael Adams formally submitted a request to postpone Kentucky's elections that are currently scheduled to take place May 19. In a letter sent to Governor Andy Beshear, the Secretary of State asked to delay the Democratic and Republican primaries, special elections and local option elections 35 days to June 23. The move would not be unprecedented. Earlier today Ohio Governor Mike DeWine took action to postpone primaries that are set to begin tomorrow. Georgia delayed its elections until May 19 and Louisiana will wait until June and July to vote in primary and general elections.
