Kentucky set to play North Florida on November 18

Kentucky is set to take on the North Florida Ospreys at Rupp Arena once again this season.

The Wildcats defeated the Ospreys by a final score of 86-52 last November, the first head-to-head matchup between the two programs. Now, a second battle has been scheduled in 2022-23.

According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, the game will be held on November 18 at Rupp Arena.

In the first matchup last season, Oscar Tshiebwe finished with 12 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in the win. Sahvir Wheeler added a double-double himself, finishing with 12 points, 14 assists, four rebounds and two steals in the win.

It was also a breakout performance for Daimion Collins, who finished with 12 points on 6-10 shooting to go with six rebounds and one block in 25 minutes. He only topped that point total once in his freshman campaign, a 14-point effort against Robert Morris in the second game of the season.

North Florida finished the 2021-22 season with a final record of 11-20, tied for fourth in the ASUN Conference East.

The Ospreys join a non-conference schedule that includes the following matchups:

  • TBA: Duquesne – Rupp Arena
  • November 15: Michigan State (Champions Classic) – Gainbridge Fieldhouse (Indianapolis, IN)
  • November 18: North Florida – Rupp Arena
  • November 29: Bellarmine – Rupp Arena
  • December 4: Michigan – The O2 Arena (London, England)
  • December 17: UCLA (CBS Sports Classic) – Madison Square Garden (New York, NY)
  • December 31: Louisville – Rupp Arena
  • January 28: Kansas (Big 12/SEC Challenge) – Rupp Arena
