Kentucky WBB signee Kaelyn Carroll set to compete in McDonald's All-American Game

The Kentucky basketball season may have just come to a close, but you don’t have to wait through the summer to see the lone 2025 signee for the women’s program, Kaelyn Carroll, in action.
On Tuesday, Carroll is set to compete in the McDonald’s All-American Game at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
She is just one of 24 high school players in the country to be named a burger girl, and Kentucky’s ninth all-time and first since Treasure Hunt (2020). She picked Kentucky over the likes of South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida State, and Virginia Tech.
Upon arriving in New York, Carroll touched on what it meant to have the privilege to be named a McDonald’s All-American.
“It means everything to me,” the five-star 6-foot-2 wing noted. “I think once I found out I was an All-American, I was a little in shock, but also super happy to see that a lot of my hard work was paid off.”

Plus, she also briefly spoke on what she envisions her role at Kentucky being like and what she’s looking forward to as she prepares for her collegiate career in Lexington.
“With coach Kenny [Brooks] and his new coaching staff, you can see this year how well he’s doing,” she said. “They accomplished a lot, and Georgia [Amoore] coming out of Kentucky —hopefully, getting into the league — is super huge for the girls’ side, and I’m excited to continue those accomplishments. Just speaking with coach Brooks about my role and stuff, I’m the only freshman coming in for Kentucky. So, we’ve had a lot of conversations about my versatile play and how that will continue through college as well because we’ve got a lot of big posts on the team, so I’d probably be more on the outside wing.”
“The women’s side at Kentucky right now is only just starting,” Carroll later added. “So, I’m so excited to continue that and kind of make it further in the future.”
