The Kentucky Wildcats (1-0, 0-0) host the South Carolina Gamecocks (1-0, 0-0) in the SEC opener in Lexington. South Carolina has the edge in the series since Shane Beamer took over in Columbia. The Gamecocks won the last two games in the league rivalry, taking advantage of UK turnovers last season and an injured UK quarterback in 2022. This year, Mark Stoops hopes to even the score in his coaching rivalry with Beamer, while keeping Kentucky unbeaten through two weeks in 2024. South Carolina needs a win to shake off last weekend’s scare in its home opener.
