Kentucky and South Carolina's series opener postponed to Saturday

Friday night’s series opener between Kentucky and South Carolina has been postponed to Saturday.
A doubleheader will now be played on Saturday, with the opening game beginning at 2:30 p.m. EST. The second game will take place 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Sunday’s series finale is still scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST.
This weekend’s series against South Carolina will mark Kentucky’s third doubleheader of the season due to rain. The ‘Cats split both doubleheaders against Lipscomb and then ranked No. 9 Ole Miss.

This series would mean a lot to both teams, as Kentucky has now turned its eyes towards potentially hosting a third consecutive Regional while South Carolina is not even on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament as of right now. Last season, the College World Series bound Wildcats lost two of three to Carolina in Columbia.
