Kentucky target Alvaro Folgueiras has reportedly scheduled 3 visits

One of Kentucky’s transfer portal targets has scheduled a trio of visits, but none of them will be to Lexington.

According to Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman, Robert Morris stretch forward Alvaro Folgueiras is set to visit Iowa, Providence, and Villanova beginning on Friday.

Clocking in at 6-foot-9, 215 pounds, the native of Spain was named the 2024-25 Horizon League Player of the Year along with making the All-Horizon League First Team. The Kentucky staff met with Folgueiras via Zoom on April 1 and there was clear mutual interest at the time. It’s still possible for Folgueiras to schedule a visit to check out UK’s campus, but at this moment, nothing is on the docket.

Folgueiras averaged 14.1 points, 9.1 boards, 3.2 assists and 1.2 blocks this past season.

As a sophomore this past season, Folgueiras posted per-game averages of 13.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 29.1 minutes per outing as a full-time starter. He shot 54.4 percent from the field, 41.5 percent from beyond the arc (3.1 attempts per outing), and 78.3 percent from the free throw line across 34 games played.

According to On3, Folgueiras, who has two years of eligibility remaining, is considered the No. 25 overall prospect to put his name in the portal this offseason.

After incoming freshman guard Acaden Lewis surprisingly decommitted on Thursday night, Kentucky is down to 11 scholarship players, leaving open a couple of roster spots to fill. Sam Houston State guard Lamar Wilkerson is a major target who will visit UK this weekend.
