A handful of Kentucky’s top 2026 recruiting targets were in action overseas this past weekend, but none were better than Caleb Holt.

Holt, a five-star shooting guard ranked No. 5 overall in his class, was named MVP of the 2025 adidas Eurocamp, which wrapped up on Monday in Treviso, Italy. This annual camp was made up of six teams (players aged 16-22), with Holt suiting up for Team 3SSB Select. The Alabama product, who now plays high school ball in Georgia, joined the likes of Tay Kinney and Anthony Thompson — two more of Kentucky’s favorite high school prospects — en route to winning the event’s championship game.

During the title game, Holt led Team 3SSB Select to an 84-77 win over Team NBL Next Stars, which included a couple of 2025 NBA Draft hopefuls. Playing in front of NBA scouts from all 30 franchises, Holt went for 19 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in Monday’s championship victory. Across three games in Italy, he averaged 17 points, eight rebounds, 3.3 steals, and 2.7 assists in 26 minutes per outing while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and a combined 5-13 from deep.

Holt is considered one of Kentucky’s favorite targets from the 2026 cycle. Kentucky head coach Mark Pope, along with assistant coaches Jason Hart and Cody Fueger, met Holt for an in-home visit in April. UK first offered the prized recruit in July 2024, and there has been mutual interest ever since. Auburn, Alabama, and Houston, among others, are also in contention.

But Holt wasn’t the only Kentucky target who impressed. Kinney and Thompson both had their moments, as well, albeit not with the same consistency as Holt.

With Kinney, a 6-foot-3 native of Kentucky ranked No. 17 overall in the 2026 class, he was at his best in the opening game of the camp on Saturday. He went 11 points, five rebounds, and two assists on 4-10 shooting in Team 3SSB Select’s 107-86 win over Team Next Gen.

However, Kinney struggled to shoot the ball during the following two games: three points (1-7 FG) on Sunday and seven points (2-14 FG) on Monday. That being said, he combined for six assists and just one turnover with five steals in those outings. Like Holt, he also recently received an in-home visit from the UK coaching staff and is viewed as a top target on the Big Board. Kinney will spend his senior high school season playing at Overtime Elite.

As for Thompson, his best performance came in Monday’s title game: 12 points and two rebounds on a perfect 4-4 shooting in just 13 minutes. A 6-foot-8 wing out of Ohio, he also added nine points, four rebounds, and three assists in 12 minutes on Saturday. Sunday was his worst outing, though, with zero points on 0-3 shooting in only nine minutes of action.

Ranked No. 14 overall in the 2026 cycle, Thompson was one of the first from his class to regularly hear from the new Kentucky staff. The Wildcats cracked his first list cut back in April, and he’s already made multiple trips to Lexington since the fall. Pope and Co. also paid him an in-home visit during the spring.
