Kentucky Target Jac'Qawn McRoy Commits to Oregon

One of the biggest targets on Kentucky’s big board announced his college decision and the Wildcats were not the choice. Jac’Qawn McRoy committed to Oregon in a live ceremony Saturday evening on CBS Sports HQ.
Although the news is disappointing, it does not come as a surprise. The Ducks have been gaining momentum since he traveled to Eugene in the spring. He officially visited Ole Miss, Arkansas and Kentucky, but Oregon got the last chance to seal the deal.
Jac’Qawn McRoy is one of the most talented offensive tackles in the country. He’s the 16th-best player at his position and No. 191 player overall according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
The Cats were the first school to offer McRoy a scholarship. Liam Coen recruited him when the Cats were pursuing his teammate, Kobi Albert. Those bonds will not be broken with one public announcement.

McRoy Flip Potential
If you think the Fat Lady has sung on this recruitment, think again. I’d like to share a quote from the offensive tackle to On3’s ScoopDuck after he took his official visit to Oregon.
“My mom and my two sisters came with me. They liked it too,” McRoy said. “My mom liked it but said it was a little far from home. But she’s okay with the distance and is going to let me make my own decision. She’s just wanting to make sure I don’t mess up and pick some crazy school for a bad reason.”
Jac’Qawn McRoy is committed to Oregon, but there’s a lot of mileage left in this offensive tackle’s recruitment.
