Zvonimir Ivisic might be a new name to you, however, the 7-foot-2-inch Croatian big man already has some low-key ties to a former Kentucky player. The projected 2024 first-round NBA pick participated in pre-draft workouts this summer, one of which was with the Indiana Pacers. That just happened to be the same workout that none other than Oscar Tshiebwe attended.
Here is a short video of Ivisic during the workout, where he casually pulled out a driving spin move and finished off with a sideways fadeaway one-handed bank shot over Big O.
While it might not be apparent from this single highlight, Tshiwebwe must have held his own throughout the day because the Pacers would later sign him to a two-way deal this season.
The full video of the Pacers workout features an interview with Ivisic, whose English is perfectly fine, in case you’re wondering. When describing his game, he says, “I can run, I can jump, I can play defense…even though I’m huge.”

That kind of European sense of humor would be an added bonus to his basketball skills.
About those basketball skills, he goes on to say, “[I’m best at] shooting. Shooting 3s. [I’m also good] in transition [and I’m a] rim protector.”
That is not a bad trifecta.
And if that wasn’t enough to get you excited about his potential commitment to Kentucky, Ivisic compares himself to Kevin Durant, calling him his favorite player and one he models his game after.
Those are lofty standards, but you can’t help but like where his mind is. Big Blue Nation hopes to learn much more about this young man very soon.
