A new SEC policy has arrived in 2024 with weekly injury reports being published during game week. The conference now requires each of their 16 members to provide multiple “availability reports” during game week. We got the first one for Auburn vs. Kentucky on Wednesday night.

Kentucky listed 17 players on the first availability report ahead of this weekend’s game against Auburn. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play). This week’s injury report includes multiple starters.

  • Maxwell Hairston | DB | Out
  • Jantzen Dunn | DB | Out
  • Darrion Henry-Young | DL | Out
  • Gerald Mincey | OL | Out
  • Josaih Hayes | DL | Out
  • Chip Trayanum | RB | Out
  • Steven Soles Jr. | OLB | Out
  • Jordan Dingle | TE | Out
  • D’Eryk Jackson | LB | Out
  • J.J. Weaver | OLB | Out
  • Quay’sheed Scott | DB | Doubtful
  • DJ Waller Jr. | DB | Questionable
  • Jayvant Brown | LB | Questionable
  • Deone Walker | DT | Probable
  • Tavion Gadson | DL | Probable
  • Demie Sumo-Karngbaye | RB | Probable

Maxwell Hairston will miss his fifth consecutive game on Saturday night. There was also some surprises.

Chip Trayanum will miss another game after making his season debut. Starters Jordan Dingle, Gerald Mincey, D’Eryk Jackson, and J.J. Weaver will also miss the game. DJ Waller Jr. is questionable. The Cats are a banged-up football team but should get Demie Sumo-Karngbaye and nose tackle Tavion Gadson back this week.
