Kentucky will host the Miami Hurricanes in the debut of the ACC/SEC Challenge, set to begin during the 2023-24 college basketball season.

The event comes at the conclusion of the ACC/Big Ten and SEC/Big 12 Challenges that ran from 1999 and 2013, respectively. Kentucky went 5-4 in its SEC/Big 12 Challenge with the SEC winning three challenges compared to five for the Big 12 with two ties.

The Wildcats have taken on the Hurricanes just four total times in history, zero matchups coming during John Calipari’s time in Lexington. Kentucky is 3-1 in the series dating back to 1956, bringing home wins on Dec. 3, 1956, Dec. 5, 1998 and Jan. 29, 2000. The program’s lone loss to Miami came on Dec. 6, 2008.

The Hurricanes are coming off a 29-8 season, a Final Four run led by head coach Jim Larranaga. That matchup is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

All ACC/SEC Challenge matchups will take place on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network or SEC Network. Coverage details, including platform designations and commentator information, will be announced in the coming months.
