Kentucky to host the Georgetown Hoyas in a preseason exhibition game at Rupp Arena

Kentucky revealed its second preseason exhibition opponent on the upcoming 2025-26 basketball schedule. First, the Wildcats will host Purdue on October 24 in a game between two potential top-10 teams. Now, we know that the Georgetown Hoyas will be the second marquee opponent on UK’s preseason schedule.
Ed Cooley’s Georgetown will play Kentucky in Rupp Arena on Thursday, October 30, according to UKAthletics.com. A time and TV slot will be assigned at a later date.
The upgrade in exhibition games is part of new NCAA rules allowing Division I programs to play in the preseason. Purdue and Georgetown add to an already difficult and entertaining slate for the Cats next year.
