Kentucky trails Tennessee 46-32 at half

So far, Kentucky vs. Tennessee in Knoxville is the opposite of Kentucky vs. Tennessee in Lexington. After 20 minutes of play, the Cats trail the Vols 46-32. It’s been an ugly showing, to say the least.
Kentucky is shooting only 36.7% from the floor and went almost 11 minutes without a field goal. That’s over half of the game so far. TyTy Washington and Jacob Toppin both are active, with TyTy even starting, but the freshman looks far from 100%. The Vols are beating the Cats in almost every facet of the game, hitting 54.8% of their shots. Every single Kentucky player is in the negative in +/- efficiency thus far. Oscar Tshiebwe scored six of Kentucky’s first ten points but went to the bench with 5:49 left with two fouls. He has eight points and six rebounds to lead the Cats.
Speaking of fouls, there have been three technicals tonight, one on John Calipari and a double tech on Tennessee’s Zakai Zeigler and Kentucky’s bench for a shoving match between Zeigler and the Cats’ strength coach Rob Harris. That’s a sentence I didn’t imagine typing tonight. Oh well. Check out the first half numbers below.
