Kentucky transfer Joey Hart commits to Ball State
Joey Hart is returning home after spending a season at Kentucky.
The Linton, Indiana native has committed to Ball State after entering the transfer portal on April 8. The Cardinals were a finalist for the sharpshooter out of high school, and now, they’ve officially landed his signature.
Hart announced the news Thursday afternoon.
A former three-star recruit, Hart played just ten minutes in his debut season as a Wildcat. He scored three points in Lexington — a made 3-pointer in Kentucky’s win over Marshall back on November 24. His biggest highlight, though, came during Big Blue Madness when he was crowned champion of the dunk contest.
Now, he makes the move to Muncie, just a two-hour drive away from his hometown and a chance to earn serious playing time.
Best of luck, Joey.
