Kentucky landed 6 transfers in On3 Top 300 player rankings
The transfer portal is a key recruiting resource that all college football teams must value at a certain level. For Kentucky, Mark Stoops and his staff have efficiently used this tool.
Before the 2021 season, Kentucky added Will Levis and Wan’Dale Robinson to the offense. Each would become an NFL Draft pick during their time in Lexington. Last offseason, UK added Tashawn Manning and Keidron Smith. Both SEC transfers started games and earned an undrafted free agent contract.
Kentucky went back into the transfer portal this offseason and came away with some strong finds. The Wildcats found a potential star at quarterback (Devin Leary). Added two quality players (Ray Davis and Demie Sumo-Karngbaye) at tailback. Found four offensive line players and addressed depth at both kicker and off-ball linebacker.
In total, UK added 13 scholarship transfers to the roster. On3 has ranked the top 300 transfers from this offseason. Six UK players landed inside that top-300.
