Kentucky freshman center Zvonimir Ivisic entered his name into the transfer portal on Saturday. It might take long before he finds his next home, either.

According to On3’s national recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw, Ivisic is trending towards transferring to the Arkansas Razorbacks, following his head coach John Calipari to Fayetteville. Calipari was the one who brought Ivisic to the United States from Croatia and helped him gain eligibility to play in the 2023-24 season.

With that in mind, it’s not too shocking to hear that Arkansas is the favorite to land Ivisic’s services. On Sunday morning, Shaw logged a pick with 60 percent confidence in favor of the 7-foot-2 big man heading to play for the Hogs.

Once Calipari was officially announced as Arkansas’ new coach on April 10, it was assumed that he would take a handful of Kentucky players from the 2023-24 roster along with him, Ivisic included in the bunch. Ivisic could have elected to enter his name into the 2024 NBA Draft but appears to be sticking in college for a sophomore season. He’s already gone through the draft process twice; he’s not allowed to test the waters anymore.

Although Ivisic only played 15 games in Lexington, he’ll forever be remembered for his debut. After missing the first couple of months of the season due to eligibility issues, he finally took the floor in a Kentucky uniform on Jan. 20 against Georgia. All he did was drop 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three blocks in 16 minutes of action. Ivisic shot 5-7 from the field and 3-4 from deep. He dazzled the crowd with behind-the-back passes and shot-blocking instincts while showing no fear when it came to letting shots rip.

Ivisic’s playing time would fluctuate for the rest of the season. He played a combined three minutes against Auburn and LSU in February before seeing at least 17 minutes in four straight contests from late February to early March, one of those being an 18-point performance against Alabama. His final game as a Wildcat saw him post three points five rebounds, and two assists in a loss to Oakland.
