Kentucky unranked in the AP Top 25 for a sixth straight week (but one vote!)
On Mondays we get a new Top 25 poll from the Associated Press and this week’s update is without Kentucky Basketball yet again.
Some progress, though: Kentucky’s wins against Ole Miss and Florida earned Kentucky one vote from AP voters this time around. Counting backward from 26 among the Other Teams That Received Votes, Kentucky’s count puts the Wildcats at No. 44 in the AP vote-getting.
Noteworthy from within the Top 25, Purdue maintained its place at No. 1 in the country despite the Boilermakers’ loss to Indiana, while former No. 2 Tennessee fell four places following the loss in Gainesville. Houston took the Vols’ spot behind Purdue ahead of Alabama, Arizona, and Texas rounding out the top five.
Alabama and Tennessee are the SEC’s only ranked teams.
