Kentucky unveils uniform combo for Georgia game

Kentucky football is switching up the uniform combination with the nation’s top-ranked team coming to Lexington.

When the Wildcats host No. 1 Georgia on Saturday night at Kroger Field, they’ll do so by rocking blue helmets, grey jerseys, and grey pants. Kentucky went with a traditional look in the season-opener against Southern Miss (blue helmets, blue jerseys, white pants) before going with the all-blue look in last week’s loss to South Carolina.

Grey is the main theme for Week 3 though. Junior wide receiver Barion Brown was the model for this week’s uniform graphic.

Kentucky actually doesn’t roll with the blue/grey/grey combo all that often. In fact, this might just be the third time ever they’ve gone with this mix. Someone might need to fact-check me, but I could only find two other instances of the ‘Cats going with this fit. Neither game has ended well for Kentucky, either.

The last time Kentucky sported the blue/grey/grey combo? A home game in 2023 against Alabama. The ‘Cats were blown out in that one, losing 49-21 in what would be Nick Saban’s last season in charge of the Crimson Tide. Before that, Kentucky went blue/grey/grey during a 2014 home game with — of course — Georgia, which saw the Bulldogs win big 63-31.

The Big Blue Nation will be hoping for a different result in these threads tomorrow night.
