Kentucky up to No. 18 in new AP College Basketball Poll

The new AP college basketball poll hit shelves Monday afternoon and your University of Kentucky Wildcats are listed among the 25 best teams this week.
Coming in at No. 18, Kentucky climbed two spots for its dominant win over Western Kentucky in the middle of last week. Previously the 20th-ranked team for beating North Carolina by a million in Las Vegas, Kentucky passed Alabama for the SEC’s fourth-best spot. Auburn (11), Tennessee (14), and LSU (16) are the three Southeastern Conference teams ranked ahead of Kentucky this week.

Also of note: Baylor, Duke, Purdue, Gonzaga, and UCLA make up the AP top five. Kentucky will play Kansas, the sixth-ranked AP team, next month in Lawrence.
