The Southeastern Conference’s newly implemented availability report started on Wednesday. By Thursday night, we already received our first update.

As Kentucky prepares for South Carolina coming to town this Saturday, the Wildcats continue to have 13 players listed on the report, but with one small tweak in the most recent update. True freshman linebacker Devin Smith has been bumped from doubtful to out. Kentucky now has seven players ruled out, one as doubtful, one as questionable, and four as probable against the Gamecocks.

UK’s final player availability report will be released on gameday.

Kentucky:

As for South Carolina, there are still six players on the updated report, but defensive back David Spaulding and EDGE Gilber Edmond have been elevated from questionable to probable. Spaulding did not play in Week 1 against Old Dominion while Edmond registered two solo tackles in the tight 23-19 win.

South Carolina:

Kentucky (1-0) and South Carolina (1-0) will go head-to-head at Kroger Field on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST on ABC.
