It started out a little scary, but ultimately, No. 15 Kentucky pulled out the win on Senior Night, beating Vanderbilt 93-77. As is becoming the case more and more often, Rob Dillingham saved the day.

The freshman phenom scored 23 points (9-15 FG, 3-4 3PT) to lead the Cats to the victory. At the end of the first half, threes by Dillingham, Antonio Reeves, and Reed Sheppard gave Kentucky a five-point lead going into the locker room. After checking in at the 17:10 mark of the second half, Dillingham picked right up where he left off, scoring five straight field goals to put the Cats up by 13. With one game remaining until the postseason, tonight is proof that Dillingham is poised for a big March moment.

“Robert, again, he did stuff that just separates the team,” John Calipari said afterward. “If he’s choosing to play that way, he’s as good as there is in the country. He really is.”
