Kentucky vs Florida: Opening Line, How to Watch, Listen
An old SEC rivalry resumes Saturday night at Rupp Arena. Kentucky vs Florida is back in primetime and the Wildcats are the pick to win, according to the folks out in the desert.
Kentucky opened as a 3.5-point favorite over Florida, with a total of 136.5. It’s not too far off from KenPom’s projection, a 70-66 UK victory.
Once the most heated rivalry in the SEC, that all changed following Billy Donovan’s departure. Kentucky has won seven eight in the series entering Todd Golden’s first Kentucky vs Florida matchup.
The Gators are coming to Rupp Arena off their biggest win in Golden’s first season in Gainesville, a 67-54 victory over No. 2 Tennessee. Florida has covered the spread in six of their last seven games and is 12-10 ATS this season. The under has also hit in six of the last seven games thanks to a defense that ranks No. 8 in defensive efficiency, No. 7 in two-point defense and No. 11 in block percentage.
Like Florida, the Cats are hot ATS, covering in five of their last six. The over is 4-2 during that stretch.
