Kentucky vs. Georgia: Numbers You Need to Know

The No. 1 team in America is in Lexington. Kentucky and Georgia will meet on the gridiron tonight at 7:30 pm EST on ABC. Before the ball is kicked off, take a closer look at all of the stats, facts, and numbers you need to know.

1.79 — Yards per carry by Kentucky opponents. The Wildcats ranked third national in run defense success rate.

3 — Straight games that the Georgia defense has not allowed a touchdown. All three teams only scored three points.

6 — Years since Kirby Smart lost a game to an active head coach. Georgia is 64-6 over the last five years and his only losses are to Nick Saban (3 times), Will Muschamp, Ed Orgeron, and Dan Mullen.

7.81 — Yards per play by the Georgia offense, ranking No. 15 nationally.

9 — Straight Kentucky losses to top-ranked teams. The Wildcats have three wins over No. 1 in 20 tries,, with the last coming in 2007 against LSU.

10 — Receptions by Barion Brown for a career-high 145 receiving yards and one touchdown the last time Georgia made the trip to Lexington.

10.39 — Average yards to gain for Kentucky opponents on third down, which is the second-best in the nation. Even though they’re making it hard on opponents to convert, the Cats rank No. 78 nationally in 3rd/4th down success rate.

15 — Years since Kentucky defeated Georgia. The last win over the Dawgs was a turnover-filled 34-27 win between the hedges.

16 — Penalties by Georgia through two games, which is ranked No. 104 in the FBS. Kentucky is just ahead of them with 15 penalties in the 2024 season.
