I hope you’ve got your tickets for tomorrow night because we’ve got a SELL OUT for a huge rivalry game.

New head coach Kenny Brooks will lead the No. 20 Kentucky Wildcats (3-0) into the biggest game of the season so far when they host the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals (2-1) inside Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night. UK announced the matchup was sold out on Friday afternoon, noting that some student tickets will be available to claim at the UK Ticket Office window. There are also select resale tickets available on Ticketmaster.

Tipoff between these two in-state programs is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EST on the SEC Network+.

Sellout crowds have been rare over the last few seasons for the Kentucky women’s basketball program. Attendance was especially low across the previous two seasons. UK didn’t even play home games in Memorial Coliseum during the 2023-24 season (they used Rupp Arena instead) due to renovations to the building that were completed earlier this summer.

But this is a brand-new era of Kentucky women’s hoops. Brooks has injected serious energy into the fanbase after years of success at Virginia Tech. He brought an All-American point guard, Georgia Amoore, with him from the Hokies and turned his debut UK roster into a Top 25 team from the jump. Memorial Coliseum looks beautiful compared to what it was. The ‘Cats have won its first three games (all at home) by a combined 118 points.

Louisville comes to Lexington with a season-opening loss to No. 5 UCLA (66-59) and wins over Southern Indiana and UT Martin. The Cardinals will still enter this game as the favorite. UL head coach Jeff Walz has won seven straight against Kentucky going back to 2016. That being said, Walz struggled against Virginia Tech when Brooks was in charge, losing the last three matchups to the Hokies.

The Big Blue Nation will hope Brooks’ winning streak against the Cards continues on Saturday.
