We are around 16 hours from kickoff between Kentucky and Ole Miss, which means it’s time for the penultimate injury report of the week. Unfortunately, we’ve got some bad news for the Wildcats.

Maxwell Hairston was a late addition to the injury report on Thursday. The preseason All-SEC cornerback has now been ruled out against Ole Miss, joining RB Chip Trayanum on the sidelines. Losing your best cornerback is not ideal against the top passing offense in college football.

For a quick refresher, this fall the SEC has implemented mandatory availability reports for league games. First released Wednesday night, they are updated daily, with the final report shared 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Players must be listed as out (0% chance to play), doubtful (25% chance to play), questionable (50% chance to play), or probable (75% chance to play).

After a Thursday stalemate, there’s been some movement on the Ole Miss injury report, with a couple of players downgraded to out. Their superstar DT Walter Nolen is still listed as probable.
