Plenty of Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt tickets available (Get in here, BBNashville)
Blue getting into Memorial Gymnasium is a tale as old as time. Every year, Kentucky fans flood Vanderbilt’s odd gym to cheer on the Cats, making it the friendliest road environment in the SEC outside of the conference tournament. Tonight should be no exception as No. 17 Kentucky faces a Vanderbilt team coming off only its first conference win of the season.
If you’d like to be among the Kentucky fans in the stands, there are plenty of tickets still available through Vanderbilt’s website; a surprising amount, in fact. I think that speaks more to Vandy fans’ disinterest and apathy than anything else. Here’s the seating map, which shows a lot of availability on the second and third levels.

Doors at Memorial only open 60 minutes before tipoff
Vanderbilt’s campus is a construction zone amid massive renovations to FirstBank Stadium, which includes the addition of a new basketball practice facility. As a result, there are some gameday changes to be aware of if you’re making the trip to Memorial Gymnasium.
- Gates open 60 minutes before tipoff — Typically, fans are allowed into Memorial Gym 90 minutes before tipoff. This year, gates will open 60 minutes before, likely to give construction crews time to get out of the area. Parking lots/garages open two hours before tipoff.
- Gates 1, 3, 6, and 11 will be open
- There are several road closures and therefore detours. Click here for a complete list.
