Who will take home the title of BBN Invitational Champion, Kentucky or Western Kentucky? The oddsmakers at FanDuel have spoken and the Cats are a 21.5-point favorite over the Hilltoppers in tomorrow night’s matchup, the finale of the multi-team event. The total is set at 162.5 points.

Both squads are undefeated in the BBN Invitational, with wins over Lipscomb and Jackson State. While the Cats won their games by an average of 39 points, Western Kentucky only defeated Lipscomb by five, 66-61, and Jackson State by 17, 79-62. The Hilltoppers are 3-2 overall this season, beating Campbellsville and losing to Wichita State and Grand Canyon. Western Kentucky returns three of its top five scorers from last year’s team that won the Conference USA Tournament and lost to Marquette in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Hank Plona is in his first season as head coach after taking over for Steve Lutz, who resigned to take the job at Oklahoma State after just one season in Bowling Green. Plona was an assistant on Lutz’s staff.

Kentucky is 4-0-1 against the spread this season, the lone push being against Bucknell (-28). The Cats have also gone over the point total in four of five games, the only under being vs. Duke (159.5). Kentucky to cover and go over the team total has been a very safe bet so far this season.
