It wasn’t a big fall, but Kentucky women’s basketball did a hit in the national rankings.

After another 1-1 week for Kenny Brooks‘ squad, the Wildcats dropped one spot in the AP Poll’s Top 25 rankings update from Monday afternoon. Kentucky went from No. 14 to No. 15 in the latest poll following a 73-65 road win over Missouri and a 65-58 home loss to No. 7 LSU last week.

Kentucky slipped a couple of spots in the updated NET rankings, as well, going from No. 20 to No. 22 as of Monday morning. UK now holds a 4-4 record in Quad 1 opportunities, a 4-0 record in Quad 2 opportunities, 3-1 in Quad 3, and 10-0 in Quad 4. That surprising road loss to Texas A&M (3-11 in SEC) back on Jan. 23 isn’t doing the Wildcats’ resume any good.

But winning one of (or both) the final regular season games against No. 11 Tennessee and No. 6 South Carolina will make up for it and then some. Another 1-1 record this week would likely lock up a top-four seed in the SEC Tournament for the ‘Cats, which currently sit one game ahead of the five-seed.
